Head of Libya’s Presidential Council meets HoR Speaker

The newly elected Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, met in Al-Qubbah – eastern Libya – with the Speaker of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh.

Menfi and Saleh discussed the vote of confidence for the interim government, which is being formed by the Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.

Menfi was received by HoR Speaker Saleh as part of the former’s visit to Al-Baydaa city: a third stop in eastern Libya after Benghazi and Tobruk.

Earlier, Menfi discussed in a meeting with a number of Tobruk-based HoR members holding a full-quorum session in the coming days.

Menfi’s media office said that he had discussed with the HoR members the necessary arrangements for voting on granting the interim government confidence once it would be presented by the newly elected Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, so it can start its work leading to December elections.
