Agila Saleh claims to seek collaboration with Takala

The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Agila Saleh, called on the new President of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, to reach a consensus with the HoR that will lead to parliamentary and presidential elections.

Saleh said in an interview with Russia Today that there is an international conviction of the need to hold elections, and requests all countries to deal with all parties and not take sides with one over the other, according to his statement.

The Speaker of the HoR stated that the HCS will consider the remarks received from the HoR on electoral laws, pointing out that these remarks are acceptable. He added that he had talked over the phone with Takala, indicating that the latter expressed his willingness to collaborate to lead the country out of the current crisis.
