Detained pilot unveils UAE, Russia, and Egypt’s support for Haftar

Pro-Haftar pilot Amer Al-Jagam, who had been detained by forces under the command of the Government of National Accord as his warplane was downed in southern Al-Zawiya, said Russian Wagner Group mercenaries are working in coordination with the Tarhouna Operations Room.

“One group of the Russian is responsible for mortar rockets, another is responsible for howitzer rockers, and yet a third group is made of snipers.” Al-Jagam added.

He revealed Sunday that there are two air-defense and electronic warfare systems in Tarhouna city operated by Russians, adding that there is a group of French experts working on logistical support, surveillance and wiretapping.

Al-Jagam also explained that the drones used by Haftar’s forces are operated by Emiratis at Al-Khadim (Kharouba) airbase and they have been present in Libya since 2014, adding that the UAE military personnel have taken part in military operations in Benghazi, Derna, and the southern region.

“F-16 and Dassault Rafale aircraft from Egypt are taking part in the air-war. They take off from Al-Brani airbase in Egypt to target Misrata and Tripoli in coordination with Haftar’s command in Al-Rajma.” Al-Jagam further revealed.
