France invites Libya to attend international conference on Sudan

During his meeting with the French ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Mossa Al-Koni, received on Monday an official invitation to participate in the World Humanitarian Conference on Sudan, which will be held in the French capital, Paris, in mid-April.

Last month, Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah met with the Sudanese conflicting parties: Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, in the capital, Tripoli, in order to listen to them directly so that Libya could contribute to supporting a solution to the war in Sudan.

Meanwhile, the French ambassador expressed France’s gratitude for the participation of the Presidential Council in this important global event that would bring together the relevant regional and international parties, explaining that the goal of holding the conference was to coordinate efforts among various international and regional initiatives that seek to resolve the crisis in Sudan.

Al-Koni has explained to the French ambassador that what is happening in Sudan or any of the neighboring countries directly affects the security and stability of Libya.
