Libya celebrates 69th Anniversary of Independence

The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj said they are celebrating the Independence Day commemorating the sacrifices of the martyrs of February revolution,. Bunyan Al-Marsous and Burkan Al-Ghadab operations’ forces.

Today: December 24 marks the 69th anniversary of the Libyan Independence.

Al-Sarraj said at a ceremony at the Martyrs Square in Tripoli that he hopes next Independence Day anniversary will be celebrated as Libyans are living in peace, stability and democracy.

In the meantime, the Turkish Foreign Minister on Thursday marked Libya’s Independence Day, which is celebrated yearly on December 24.

“Libya I wholeheartedly congratulate the brotherly Libyan people on their national day. We will always support our Libyan brothers to ensure unity, solidarity, and stability,” Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Twitter.
