Libyan Air Force targets Haftar militias’ positions in and outside Al-Wishka

Sirte-Jufra Security and Protection Operations Room said the Libyan Air Force of the government of National Accord (GNA) targeted Saturday Khalifa Haftar’s militias in Al-Wishka and areas outside it with several airstrikes as they attempted to deploy forces in the area.

The operations room said that their forces has repelled new attempts by Haftar’s militias to infiltrate into the area, adding that they were ready to thwart any attacks in the upcoming period on all frontlines.

Meanwhile, the commander of Sirte-Jufra operations room Brigadier General Ibrahim Baytelmal confirmed that clam was prevailing in Abu Grein town after it had been attacked by Khalifa Haftar’s militias with heavy artillery shelling.

Baytelmal told Libya Alahrar TV on Saturday that the Government of National Accord’s (GNA) forces are still in position in and around Abu Grein, adding that the room’s forces had depicted deployment by Haftar’s militias in eastern Abu Grein.

He also indicated that Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation forces under the command of the GNA were ready to repel any attacks by Haftar’s militias, especially after the human loss they had suffered in the recent clashes in Abu Grein.
