The Libyan embassy in the Netherlands has stated that it is continuing its consultations with the Republic of South Africa, to support it in the lawsuit filed against the Israeli occupation, whose hearings will take place this week at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The embassy mentioned that, in coordination with the Arab Group in The Hague, it was agreed to increase political support from countries to ensure that an urgent ruling is issued to stop the genocide and the dangers of mass displacement and settlement to which the Palestinian people are exposed. The Libyan embassy in the Netherlands noted through its official social media account that states who wish to join the lawsuit can join at a later stage.
Moreover, the embassy reported that Libya has joined the legal proceedings that will take place before the International Court of Justice next February, with the participation of several Arab and Islamic countries, under the supervision of the State of Palestine.
The embassy added that the sessions will be held at the request of the United Nations General Assembly, which requested that it be provided with the legal opinion of the Hague Court regarding the practices of the Israeli occupation in Palestine.
