Libya’s Interior Minister calls for cutting ties with UAE following Haftar’s Military College bloodbath

The Libyan Interior Minister has condemned in the strongest terms the airstrike that targeted the Military College (Academy) in Al-Hadba neighborhood in Tripoli by Khalifa Haftar’s warplanes.

The airstrike killed at least 30 cadets and injured scores others in a new carnage committed by Haftar and his Arab and foreign backers.

The Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha said following the attack at the early hours of Sunday that the Government of National Accord (GNA) must now cut all ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for its role in backing up Haftar’s massacres against civilians in Libya, especially lately in Tripoli.

“We’re not waiting the US or any other country to help us defeat Haftar; only Qatar and Turkey have stood by us in this crisis.” Bashagha remarked.

The airstrike at midnight was another crime added by to a very long list of crimes committed by Haftar and his foreign and Arab supporters since the start of their offensive on Tripoli on April 04 2019.
