Russian embassy to start operating in Tripoli next August 

The Government of National Unity (GNU) said in a statement Tuesday that Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and Russian ambassador Aydar Aganin discussed the reopening of the Tripoli embassy building for work next August. 

Dbeibah stressed the importance of unifying international positions on Libya for its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and reiterated the need for ending all forms of foreign interference, while Aganin conveyed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s emphasis on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and supporting the efforts of the GNU to achieve stability and hold elections.

The Russian ambassador briefed Dbeibah on the latest developments in Russia and the region, as Dbeibah reaffirmed his support for international efforts aimed at prevailing calm.
