Two pro-Haftar helicopters collide, kill two crewmen

Two helicopters of Khalifa Haftar’s militias collided on Sunday in military maneuvers in Mesous area in southeast Benghazi, killing two people and injuring others.

The Mil Mi-8 helicopters collided and the crew members of one of them – Buzid Al-Barassi, and Milad Al-Asebi – were killed, while the other helicopter’s crew members were wounded.

The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, offered condolences to the families of the killed crew members and wished speedy recovery for the injured ones.

This is the second time in four months military aircraft crash in eastern Libya under the command of warlord Haftar. In May, a notorious pilot, named Jamal bin Amer, was killed when his MiG-21 crash-landed in a so-called army parade in Benghazi.
