Uneasy calm descended on Al-Zawiya city after the clashes that erupted on Saturday evening had stopped, causing at least two deaths and more than ten injuries.
A source from Al-Zawiya said that a force from the Brigade 103 was able to separate the two sides of the clashes and stationed in the clashes area, after which the coastal road was reopened on both sides and living conditions returned to near normal, according to eyewitnesses.
A number of education facilities, including schools and colleges announced late on Saturday that exams scheduled for Sunday were cancelled until further notice due to the clashes.
Libya Alahrar TV channel’s correspondent in Al-Zawiya city said gunmen closed on Saturday the coastal road from both directions due to the killing incident.
