The heads of the permanent committees in the House of Representatives (HoR) condemned the position of the United Kingdom regarding the genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation against the Gaza Strip.
This came during their first meeting with the new British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, who is visiting the eastern region. The two sides discussed the latest developments in the political situation in the country, and the HoR’s issuance of the electoral laws. The representatives considered that the international community is not taking seriously the Libyan desire to hold elections as soon as possible.
The representatives called on the United Kingdom and the international community to support efforts to form a unified authority whose primary mission is to organize elections.
