Libya’s High Council of State (HCS) has decried HoR Speaker’s blessing to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi’s threats against Libya’s security and sovereignty.
In a statement on Monday, the HCS said Sisi’s call for recruiting and arming Libyan tribesmen is an additional attempt of fueling division among Libyans to urge them to kill one another.
The HCS reminded HoR Speaker Aqila Saleh of Article No.30 of Security-Council-approved Skhirat agreement that says GNA should seize control of the entire country.
The statement said the pretext of Egypt’s national security requires the solution of closing borders with Libya, saying the Egyptian Army shouldn’t follow this adventure that will end up like the previous ones in Yemen.
The High Council of State said that the forces that uprooted terrorists from Sirte and defeated the aggression on Tripoli are ready to defend their land and borders.
