Extra capacity of 1700 barrels per day may be added following successful experiments

The National Oil Corporation NOC announced the completion of drilling operations in the Zaltan oil field in addition to the success of drilling operations for the first exploratory well belonging to the Sirte Company.

This step comes, according to فاث NOC, as part of its strategy to raise crude oil production rates. Regarding the Zaltan oil field, the NOC confirmed the completion of the drilling of the development well C347-6, which achieved a natural flow rate of 1,100 barrels of oil per day, at a depth of 5,794 feet.

The Corporation mentioned that the results of drilling the Sirte well “j3-nc101” were positive, and the flow rate achieved from it was about 560 barrels of oil per day, and it is expected that the production rate will increase when low-rate pumps are replaced by others with a larger flow.

On a similar matter, the Russian company Tatneft had also announced that it had drilled exploratory wells in Libya and obtained good results, announcing it will be entering into the experimental development phase if cost calculations were found to be feasible.
