Haftar’s terrorist militias strike Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport, causing massive damage to planes and infrastructure

Khalifa Haftar’s terrorist militias have carried out strikes on the only operational airport in Libya’s capital, Tripoli, Mitiga Airport, causing massive damages to the infrastructure and panic among workers and nearby residents.

Haftar’s strikes on Mitiga Airport, according to the Libya Alahrar TV correspondent, damaged two Airbus (320 – 330) at the runway with shattered shrapnel.

The correspondent added that the strike on Saturday morning hit also a fuel depot, setting it ablaze and damaged the passengers’ lounge as well.

The shelling sent waves of panic and intimidation to the nearby residents and caused huge material damage, the correspondent added.

Haftar terrorist militias’ strikes hit the Airbus 320 plane as it was preparing to take off for a repatriation flight to Spain to bring the Libyans stranded in there amid Coronavirus outbreak.
