The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) is going to hold a session on Monday to discuss the Government of National Unity’s 2021 budget bill after failing to pass it in the last six sessions held over a span of two months.
The member of the HoR, Abdelmonem Al-Arfi, told Libyan Alahrar TV that the budget bill is unlikely to be approved by the members, adding that this entanglement for the Government of National Unity will just get dragged on and on.
Al-Arfi indicated that the Financial Committee of the HoR finished its work on the remarks and amendments of the budget, yet disputes among HoR members would hinder the passing of the 2021 budget.
