The Libyan Army forces under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) have seized full control of Tarhouna city from local militias of Al-Kani and Khalifa Haftar’s terrorist militias after advancing on the city from four frontlines.
The spokesman for the Libyan Army Mohammed Gununu said GNA forces had taught Al-Kani militias a lesson and defeated them as well as Haftar’s terrorist militias, who fled farther from the city and away from western region.
The Libyan Army spokesman added that GNA forces will keep chasing away the terrorist militias of Haftar and eliminate them without any mercy.
This historical liberation of the city from both Haftar and Al-Kani militias comes less than 24 hours after the liberation of the entire Greater Tripoli region following a bloody war that has been ongoing for 14 months.
